Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to urgent notifications involving vulnerable children and adults at risk of harm
  • Carrying out statutory duties including Section 47 investigations and adult safeguarding
  • Coordinating emergency placements for children (including PACE beds) and adults
  • Completing welfare checks and visits as required
  • Exercising sound decision-making in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations

About You:
We are seeking a confident and passionate practitioner who:

  • Has a minimum of 3 years' experience in a statutory children's social work team
  • Is registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrates excellent judgement, resilience, and the ability to think creatively and act quickly
  • Can manage urgent social work interventions effectively while maintaining professional standards
  • Embraces professional development and collaborative practice

Role Requirements -

  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies in accordance with FRS 102, FRS 102 1A, and FRS 105, as well as for sole traders and partnerships.
  • Preparation of group consolidated accounts (desirable but not essential).
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
  • Submission of quarterly and monthly VAT returns.
  • Bookkeeping using client software (Xero preferred, but experience with various platforms is beneficial).
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Processing of monthly and weekly payroll (desirable but not essential).
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including direct communication and advisory responsibilities.

Personal Requirements -

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in practice.
  • Fully qualified, nearly qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with a range of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50, and Sage Cloud.
  • Experience with CCH for accounts and tax production (desirable but not essential).
  • Understanding of client onboarding procedures, including AML and KYC compliance.
  • Willingness to contribute to other areas of the business such as networking, marketing, or social media initiatives.
